Did you know that men commonly experience pelvic floor dysfunction, but it’s rarely talked about? While men experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction may have similarities to their female counterparts, there are important differences that require knowledge and clinical experience. 

Pelvic Pain

Male pelvic pain can present as pain or abnormal sensation in the region of the pelvis, low back, rectum, penis, scrotum, perineum, abdomen, buttocks, lower extremities

Sexual Dysfunction

Sexual dysfunction includes pain with sex, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculatory dysfunction

Prostate Dysfunction

Prostate dysfunction can include all types of non-bacterial prostatitis. Pelvic floor physical therapy also helps pre/post-prostatectomy.

Urinary Problems

If you are a man suffering from urinary problems, you may find yourself running to the bathroom, leaking, being nervous to accidentally urinate in public, or waking up at night to urinate.

Bowel Dysfunction

Common symptoms of bowel dysfunction include constipation, pain or difficulty passing a BM, and digestive dysfunction.
